FLINT RIVER POODLE’S MISSION
Connecting the right puppy with the right family, for the right reason.
Flint River Poodles’ mission is to breed conformationally correct, healthy, highly trainable mini and moyen Poodle puppies for families looking for a service or therapy dog. We emphasize compassion for each other, our poodles and the communities they serve.

Your family deserves a happy, healthy puppy from a breeder who cares.
Consumers want to buy from responsible breeders that put the dogs first. A responsible breeder will not only take great care of their dogs but also show great care and compassion when placing their dogs in a forever home.
Our "Flint River" poodles are highly intelligent, gentle-natured, high energy companion dogs that are committed to serve those they love. They are highly trainable and have service and therapy potential. All of our poodles come from health tested parents that possess excellent health, conformation and temperaments. Combining our socialization care with comprehensive temperament testing versus just breeding for certain looks ensure that our puppies will bring happiness and comfort to their families throughout their lifetime.
Our parent dogs are DNA and OFA health tested beyond CHIC standards. Links to testing are provided on the parent’s web page.
Puppies are whelped and raised with a combination of Empowered Breeder and Puppy Culture techniques. Early neurological stimulation and Early scent introduction (ENS/ESI) protocols are used for first three weeks of life. From four weeks and beyond a combination of puppy curriculum and training is used to develop “bomb proof” puppies that are confident, inquisitive, and fearless. Temperament testing will be completed at 7 weeks of age. Puppy picks will occur a few days after temperament testing.

moderately sized allergy friendly dog companions with excellent temperaments.

A BREEDER WITH PURPOSE
Flint River Poodle’s Breeding Program
MINI POODLE
AKC Standard size mini poodles are 10”-15” tall. I will be specializing in non-standard colors (red and phantom abstracts)
MOYEN POODLE
I specialize in moyen sized poodles, 16”-19”, 25-35 pounds, non-standard colors (red, black, and brown in abstracts, parti, and phantom. I DO NOT cross standard poodles with mini or toy poodles. Both sire and dams are within 16”-19” range, as were their parents and grandparents.
RIGOROUS HEALTH TESTING
Testing performed on parents includes genetic health, color and coat traits; and OFA for hips, elbows, patellas, cardiac, and eyes. Summary results will be posted under Dams/Sires pages as they become available, reports available upon request.
EXTENSIVE PUPPY CURRICULUM
My program follows the tenets of Badass Breeders with elements of Puppy Culture added in. Early neurological stimulation/early scent introduction (ENS/ESI) protocols will be performed. Puppy evaluations and vet exams will be performed at seven/eight weeks of age, and then puppy picks will be performed. Puppies do not go home before 8-9 weeks of age.
