Flint River Poodles
Name Meaning
“We are located close to the Flint River. As a kid, I would play in and enjoy the Flint River. It gave me so much joy. It was only fitting to name the breeding business after a key landmark in my childhood.”

“Flint River Poodles is located in Alabama. When I became guardian of my beautiful grandchildren children, I realized there was a need for small to medium sized allergy friendly dogs for children’s service and therapy dogs. I want to meet that need.”

PROGRAM TENETS
Mini/Moyen Poodles
Their intelligence, non-shedding coat and size make them great candidates for a service or therapy dog..
Health Testing
Healthy Puppies come from Healthy Parents. We do various physical and genetic screenings on parents so that puppies get the best start to life.
Puppy Curriculum
Puppy Curriculum is just as important as their health. I believe our puppies are the next generation of assistance dogs. Extensive puppy curriculum based on Empowered Breeder and Puppy Culture tenets means more well rounded pups.
ADOPTION PROCESS

STEP 1
WANDER SITE
Please wander the site and learn more about my program and what I do. We welcome all questions but still encourage you to go through the website before reaching out.
STEP 2
FILL OUT APPLICATION
To get on our waitlist and show us how serious you are about getting a puppy, please fill out the application. I will ask questions to get to know you and your family better.
STEP 3
RESERVATION FEE
To be placed on the master wait list, an approved puppy application must be on file, and $250 reservation fee.
must be received via Venmo, Paypal, or Check. Reservations solicited when pups are three weeks of age.
Adopters on master wait list will be able to pick puppies in the order reservation fees are received.
STEP 4
PREPARE FOR YOUR PUPPY
Once contacted and placed with a specific litter, adopters should prepare their home and family for a new puppy. New puppies are a committment, comparable to having a young toddler in your home. They must be constantly supervised and taken out for potty breaks consistently, both day and night. Young puppies cannot hold their bladders for more than a couple hours at a time. They also like to chew anything within reach - rocks, socks, shoes, wooden furniture, electrical/charging cords, etc.
Second - make your new puppy an appointment with the vet. He/She will need to be seen within a few days of going home, and most vets have a 3-4 week lead time for that first appointment.
STEP 5
GO HOME DAY
Puppies must be picked up by 10 weeks of age, training and boarding fees will be applied for puppies under deposit still on property after this date ($25 per day)
Local pick up in Huntsville, AL.
I will meet up to four hours away in any direction at no cost
I will bring puppies to Huntsville International Airport, Birmingham International Airport, or Nashville, TN Airport to meet you or flight nanny. I do not make arrangements for flight nanny. I may be able to make recommendations based on location.
If you let me know beforehand the puppy will be traveling by air, I can purchase a TSA approved travel crate and ensure puppy is comfortable in it.
